We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / revDSG).

2. What data we process

Account and order data: name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, order history
Age verification data: confirmation of minimum age (18+) and, where applicable, proof of identity
Payment data: payment method and transaction details — payment data is processed and stored exclusively by PostFinance Ltd, Switzerland, not by us
Usage data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited (server logs, cookies)
Communication data: messages sent via contact form or email

Processing and delivering your orders (contract performance)
Verifying the legal minimum age of 18 (legal obligation under the Tobacco Products Act, TabPG)

6. Data transfers abroad

Our website is hosted in Europe. Payment-related data is processed and stored exclusively by PostFinance in Switzerland. If data is transferred to countries without adequate data protection (e.g. via Google Analytics), we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU standard contractual clauses).

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law (e.g. accounting records: 10 years under Swiss law). Age verification records are kept as required by the TabPG and its ordinances.

8. Your rights

You have the right to request information about your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability, and to object to processing. Contact: info@tabaknova.ch.

You may complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures (TLS encryption, access controls) to protect your data.

10. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send product news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email. Note: newsletter content for tobacco/nicotine products is only sent to verified adult customers.
